This has been my rollercoaster journey of experiences, both challenges and immense joy, serving as the 1st Vice President of  Leo Club of  University of Kelaniya. It has been such a great opportunity to be able to serve with people who are so passionate and committed to one common goal: trying to make a difference in society. Through different projects and programs, I have seen how teamwork can be so powerful and the difference we can make when we work together. When I began as a member of  Differently Abled Avenue three years ago, I never imagined I’d find a second family here. Leo has been a safe place for personal growth, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had along the way. Now, as I step into the role of Membership Vice President for this term, I look forward to supporting each of you in your own journey. To our new members and those interested, I encourage you to join us as Leo offers countless chances to discover your potential and make a meaningful impact. Leo Janidu Wijesundara
Vice President for Projects

I have always been a dynamic individual, and Leo helped me fine-tune myself. I joined the movement in the Leo term 23/24 as a member of the Clean Water and Energy Conservation Avenue, which opened doors for me that I never imagined entering. Here I am today as the Vice President for Projects at one of the most prestigious youth-led movements in the world. This journey was not easy, but it was absolutely worth it. My social circles have expanded, and I have evolved as a person, thanks to every experience and the family I found here. Leo is a place unlike any other!

Joining  Leo Club of  University of Kelaniya has been an invaluable journey for me. Starting as a member of the Sports and Recreation Avenue in term 2022/23, I grew through various roles, serving as Co-Director of Differently Abled Avenue in term 2023/24, and now proudly holding the position of Vice President for Projects for the term 2024/25. Each step has been a learning experience, from working as an OC member for the project ‘Kelibimata Arunalu’ to leading award-winning initiatives such as ‘Waaruwa’ and ‘Senehase Piyaman’ during my time as Co-Director of Differently Abled Avenue. Currently, as Vice President for Projects, I am overseeing all club projects. Balancing academics with this journey is essential and rewarding, as it not only enriches university life but also builds skills that are invaluable for a future career.!

Reflecting on my transformative three-year journey with Leo from an active member to Director and now Secretary, I am filled with gratitude. These roles allowed me to work alongside passionate individuals united by a vision for sustainable change. Through teamwork, we turned challenges into achievements, while Leoism shaped both my character and sense of responsibility. This journey, marked by highs and lows, strengthened my resilience, deepened my understanding of leadership, and gifted me lifelong friendships. Being part of  Leo Club of  University of Kelaniya has been an incredibly fulfilling journey. As the Treasurer for the term 2024/25, I have learned the importance of teamwork, accountability, and supporting each other to achieve our goals. Collaborating with fellow members to make a positive impact has been both rewarding and humbling. To future Leos, my advice is to embrace every opportunity, challenge yourself, and never underestimate the power of a dedicated team. Enrolling as a member of  Clean Water and Energy Conservation Avenue in Leo Term 23/24, I never knew I was meant to find home here. Leoism made me find a new family, a safe space where I could enjoy myself while volunteering. Leo was a platform where my skills were put to the test, out of which I discovered that I have more potential than I thought I had. Kicking things off as the Assistant Secretary this term, I’m proud of how far I’ve come and of how far I have to go.  This has been a great opportunity for me, and I believe it is a turning point in my Leo journey. I joined the Leo Club of University of Kelaniya in the 23/24 term under the Religion and Culture  Avenue. The projects I’ve worked on, like ‘Arabatha’, ‘Ekaloka’, and ‘Deerghayu’, and club-wide initiatives like  ‘SPERANZA’24’ and ‘VOB 3.0’, have brought me invaluable growth and a network beyond my department. This  club has shown me how to balance academics with service, embrace diverse team dynamics, and appreciate new perspectives on society.
