Reflections of Love’s Paradox

When I ignored you, your voice grew thin,

Just like you did, I felt a pin,

Piercing through, anger’s bitter cry,

Yet, puzzled why, you ask me why.

You do the same, this mirrored game,

So why the fury, the burning flame?

Is it fair to feel this disdain,

When mirrored actions cause such pain?

I hate myself for loving you so true,

For in this paradox, love’s residue.

A tangled web, emotions entwined,

Leaving me lost, heart and mind
