Act of Remembrance

I walk across the muddy path

A tune in my ears, wind on my face

A wild flower at my feet in full bloom

I bend down to capture a photo

And thinks of that one time

You with stars in your eyes

Let me on, this flower I adore the most.

So here I am now fond

Thinking of you whenever I gaze

A flower that once belonged to

Itself, earth it sprang on

Now all yours.

Each and every sunny little bud

That come to life in this earth

And beyond the line

No longer a mere colour or shape

Neither only a scent nor name

A living memory blooming all over

Again and again.
